Top Member Loyalty Rewards FAQs

No, you do not need to enroll in Member Loyalty Rewards. Your rewards will be applied to your account automatically each month based on your qualifications.

No, all members in good standing who are not subject to account restrictions are eligible for Member Loyalty Rewards.

Member Loyalty Rewards are rebates and dividends you can earn based on your combined deposit and loan balances. You must also be enrolled in Digital Banking to qualify. Member Loyalty Rewards are automatically credited to your account each month you qualify.

  1. Member Loyalty Rebates: View our fees for a complete list of fees that are eligible for Member Loyalty Rebates. Fees exceeding the Member Loyalty Rebate you qualify for in a calendar month cannot be rebated in future months. Likewise, the Loyalty Rebate is not a credit and applies only to eligible fees incurred in a qualifying month.

    Member Loyalty Dividends: Member Loyalty Dividends are equal to a percentage of the dividends earned on all your UNFCU share certificates. Let's look at an example if you qualify for the Platinum level. In our example, you earned $120 in dividends on your share certificates in a given month. Since you also qualified for the Platinum level, you will receive an additional $6.00 for that month in Member Loyalty Dividends (i.e. 5% of the $120). This amount will be credited to your checking account at the start of the following month. If you do not have a checking account, monthly rewards will be credited to your savings account. The Member Loyalty Dividend does not change your share certificate's actual annual percentage yield (APY).

  2. To qualify for a loyalty level, your accounts must be in good standing and must meet all of the criteria listed for that level. UNFCU will determine your loyalty level at the end of each calendar month. Your rewards for that month will be credited to your checking account at the start of the following month. If you do not have a checking account, monthly rewards will be credited to your savings account. If you are in a country subject to US sanctions, view all account restrictions that may apply. UNFCU may change the rewards offered through its Member Loyalty Rewards program at any time without advance notice.

  3. Average daily balance (ADB) is calculated based on the number of days an account is open during a given month. Your account must be open on the last day of the month to count towards ADB.

    Deposit (Share) Accounts: To qualify for Member Loyalty Rewards at any level, you must have a minimum ADB of $2,500 in your deposit accounts and Membership Share. The balance in all deposit accounts and Membership Share for which you are listed as the primary or joint account holder will be counted as part of your ADB. However, your rewards will only apply to deposit accounts for which you are the primary account holder.

    Loan Accounts: To determine whether you qualify for the Gold or Platinum level, the ADB will include your loan balances, excluding your credit card balance. The balance of all loans for which you are the primary borrower will be added to the balance of your deposit accounts and Membership Share to calculate your ADB. This includes the amount you borrow from the approved amount of your UNFCU credit lines, home renovation loan, and/or international home build loan.
