Program details
If you are a UNFCU member, you will receive a $15.00 bonus for each UN colleague you refer who joins the Credit Union. You can receive a bonus for up to five referrals each calendar year.
New members who join as part of this program can receive a $10.00 bonus.
Member Referral Program participants must be at least 18 years of age and meet the qualification requirements for UNFCU membership. Program details may change at any time without notice.
- You need to be a current UNFCU member with $25.00 in your Membership Share. Current and former employees, Directors on the UNFCU Board, and their immediate families and households are not eligible.
- The colleague you refer must:
- Use your unique member invitation link or confirm you as the referring member during their membership application process.
- Complete the membership application online and have it approved by UNFCU.
- Not be a current or past UNFCU member or have had a UNFCU member number. This includes child/minor account holders and UNFCU joint account holders.
- Be an employee, retiree, consultant, or volunteer of the United Nations and its affiliated agencies, eligible to join UNFCU.
We will deposit $15.00 to your checking account within 10 business days after the above qualifications are met. If you do not have a checking account, we will deposit the bonus to your savings account.
- Use the unique member invitation link sent to you by a UNFCU member or confirm that you were referred by the UNFCU member in your membership application.
- Complete the membership application online and have it approved by UNFCU.
- Complete the following steps within the first 30 days of joining UNFCU:
- Enroll in Digital Banking.
- Deposit $2,500 in your UNFCU savings, checking, and/or share certificate accounts.
- You cannot be a current or past UNFCU member or have had a UNFCU member number. This includes child/minor account holders and UNFCU joint account holders.
- You must be an employee, retiree, consultant, or volunteer of the United Nations and its affiliated agencies, eligible to join UNFCU.
If you qualify, we will deposit $10.00 to your checking account within 45 days of you joining UNFCU. If you do not have a checking account, we will deposit the bonus to your savings account.
