Foreign currency transfers

Quickly and easily transfer euros to your UNFCU account without any UNFCU fees

Transfer euros from your local bank to your UNFCU savings or checking account. The money will be deposited in US dollars (USD). Currently, the foreign currency transfer service is only available to members with euro denominated accounts in countries within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). We plan to expand this service to additional currencies.


How to create a foreign currency transfer ID

After creating a foreign currency transfer ID, you can provide this ID to your local bank as the recipient bank account number. The euros that you transfer from your local bank will be deposited to your linked UNFCU account in US dollars (USD).

Create a foreign currency transfer ID

  1. Sign in to Digital Banking.

  2. Under Transfers & Payments, select Foreign Currency Transfer.

  3. Select EUR — Euro and the UNFCU checking or savings account that you would like to fund.

  4. Review and accept the terms and conditions.

Your foreign currency transfer ID is strictly for your use only to transfer money between your own personal accounts. To send money or to receive money from a third party or business account, view all transfer options.

As a security measure and for our compliance requirements, UNFCU may contact you for additional information. Remember that UNFCU will never ask for your Digital Banking login credentials.

You may create one foreign currency transfer ID for each local currency. We currently offer this service for euros (EUR). We plan to expand to additional currencies in 2024.
